Start by heating your branding iron using a propane, butane, or MAP torch (Torch Style Brands), or by plugging in and placing on stand (Electric Branding Irons). Allow 30 minutes to warm up to.steady state temperature.
Never leave the torch unattended while heating.
An average sized Torch heated brand (1.5”) will take approximately 4-5 minutes to heat. Test periodically using a scrap piece of food similar to the one you will be branding. Avoid overheating the food grade brands as they can get damaged.
holding only the handle once heated, apply the face of the brand to the food items.
Ensure the brand is sitting square to the food item. Remove the brand after approximately 2-3 seconds.
To avoid a “Burn Shadow”, spray your workpiece with water prior to branding and avoid overheating your brand.
-
Our Food Grade Branding irons are specifically carved deeper to avoid the sides of the iron from coming into contact with softer food items causing a “Burn Shadow” from the brand body.
We have a standard series meant for occasional use and a professional series meant for high use applications such as restaurants, or simply for users looking for an exclusive product.

Unplug you branding ion before cleaning and unscrew the branding head using the 2 or 4 screws on the brand iron shaft (electric) or the flange nut (Torch heated brands).
Our Professional series can be cleaned by placing the head in a dishwasher or by scrubbing by hand. Stubborn residue can be removed by soaking overnight in vinegar.
Our standard series branding irons should be cleaned with caution while cleaning, so as not to damage the aluminum head. For cleaning the Aluminum head, it’s recommended to leave it in vinegar overnight and to rinse using water and dish soap and a soft bristle brush the next morning.
