• Branding Iron Thickness

    Thickness

Thicker brands hold heat longer for more branding without having to reheat.

Thicker brands act as a “heat reservoir” holding and distributing heat more evenly.

Cheaper brands often use thinner material to reduce costs, however thinner material is more likely to warp during the engraving process.

Even distortion as little as 1 thousandth of an inch will result in a darker impression in the middle and gradual fading at the ends.
