No deposit is required, however we ask all customers have the funds set aside and submit payment promptly upon seeing and approving the final test pictures of the finished product.

Leather Branding Stamps may be used with or without heat.

If using heat, keep in mind that less heat is required than with wood.

Start by heating your branding iron using a propane, butane, or MAP torch. Never leave the torch unattended while heating.

An average sized brand (1.5”) will take approximately 2-3 minutes to heat. Test periodically using a scrap piece of Leather similar to the one you will be branding.

For a deeper more detailed impression, consider spraying your workpiece with water prior to branding.

Our Leather Stamps are made from Brass and can be used with an optional Stainless Steel shaft for hammering.

Custom sized holes can be drilled and tapped for you to fit onto your handles, tools and equipment.

To reduce shipping costs, certain sizes of brands may require assembly.

Assembly can be done easily by hand with an adjustable wrench.

If you would prefer to have your branding iron already assembled upon delivery, please request for this.

If you are using the leafher stamps with heat, such as in a hot press or with an electrtc powered handle, the brass will loose it’s original shiny appearance. This is normal and is cosmetic only and will not affect the performance.

After repeated use, if you find the brand building up a dark deposit it may be cleaned using standard solvents such as paint thinners or lacquer thinner. Take care to wear appropriate PEE and ensure the brand is dried immediately and before the next use.

When using leather stamps hot, they can be extremely dangerous and improper use could lead to serious injury and cause fire

Never leave a hot stamp unattended while hot or while heating

Ensure you have a fire extinguisher near by before using

Rest branding iron on a safe surface to cool down after use or between uses. Surfaces may include large cast iron tops, concrete pavers or other concrete blocks.

Do not leave a branding iron unattended unless and until you know it has cooled sufficiently for safe handling without risk of injury.

Ensure the branding head and handle (if applicable) are secure prior to use. It is possible for the head to come loose with repeated use causing injury.

For best results, unscrew the handle from your branding iron or leather stamp and use the head portion inside a standard arbor press
